Hi.

As Gleki pointed out at some point, the old wiki still observes some traffic, and most of that is from search results.

I propose that, in order to redirect that traffic to the new wiki, the old sites will have a noindex tag, making them disappear from the search results.

Might want to get a list of the most popular ones and set up a 301 redirect to the proper article on the new wiki so that useful articles are still easy to find.

Hmm, didn't all of the old pages make it to the new wiki? If not, we could set up redirects on the pages that were moved, but leave the others.

just a note. the old addresses of tiki do redirect to the new wiki. After the move Tiki started being served at a new address.
What happened here is that Google understood that the redirect had happened to the new wiki but nevertheless indexed the old wiki at the new address too.

Why tiki in some cases still higher in search results than the new wiki is a complete mystery to me. anyway removing it from index won't mean it will be replaced by addresses of the new wiki. falling down of search positions of *.lojban.org in general is one possible outcome.

Let's try that anyway; if any undesirable side effects come, we can revert it.

Nah, one can ask the Googlebot to index a given page. I think.
