I'd like to update MongoDB Java driver which is quite old in Lift-Record now (2.7.3 vs. 2.11.1). Any thoughts on that, is there some work in progress maybe ? If not I'd like to work in the update. I can test the new driver on quite large mongo deployment.

The current version is 2.10.1, but we can update it to 2.11.1.

What if you add it as a dependency to your project? Won't it override Lift's dependency anyway, enabling you to test the driver?

2.11 solves supposedly the annoying ThreadLocal severe warnings when deployed in Tomcat

Thanks Tim (and thanks for doing it on the lift_30 branch as well! )
