What is the best was to customize the login page?

Hi guys,

Thanks for an awesome project!

We would like to customise our installation slightly, such as writing our own welcome message on the login page, and putting our logo there.

One way to do it would be to change the logo image at assets/img/logo2-grey.png but that feels a bit hackish and not like the "proper" way to do it.

Is there another recommended way to do this?

There is no official way to do this - to be honest changing the assets the display is absolutely fine and completely within your rights through the GPL3.0 license. In terms of amending the login page, you would be looking to amend the relevant "blade" template - in this case found here: https://github.com/LearningLocker/learninglocker/blob/develop/app/views/system/forms/login.blade.php

That would depend entirely on whether you are using a change management system (such as git) to track your amends. TThere's a really nice simple guide to git here: http://rogerdudler.github.io/git-guide/.
