Dear all,
I would like to use the new select_one_from_file and pulldata functionalities of Enketo Express, as documented here and here. These are recent developments in Enketo, I know. Is there plan to make them available in KoboToolbox?

A test form containing the select_one_from_file, for example, gives the following error message in KoBoTolbox:
"Error: Unknown question type 'select_one_from_file test_soff.csv'."

Compatibility with ODK Collect is not an issue for me, as I intend to use only webforms for data collection, which is planned to start in January/February.

Thanks for any hints and information!

Bálint

PS: I have asked a similar question in the enketo-users group (but I did not get a reassuring response):

I'm working on this as well.

Click here for a discussion on a work around that one user reported having success with. The method relies on an ONA account to compile a fully functional form which is pulled then pushed to KoBoToolbox using ODK Briefcase. I had success in getting ONA to produce a form that worked correctly with "pulldata". And I did manage to pull the working ONA form down with ODK Briefcase. ODK Briefcase reported a good push to KoBoToolbox but KoBoToolbox didn't register the push event correctly at the UI level. In the end, no form was displayed by KoBoToolbox.

KoBoToolbox has been pretty frustrating in terms of getting advanced form features working. Developers suggest features work but claims are not typically associated with an example of a form working correctly on KoBoToolbox.

Regards,
Jake

NO, I didn't. I would still be interested though.
Thanks for following up on this,
Bálint
