Hi support guys.

Been working on a form all day with no problems, have downloaded several instances of it in XML and tested on my device however just completed a final update and now getting a server error 500 message when trying to download in XML. Not sure if the following URL is of any use support-wise but please find below.

Very many thanks for your help,

Dave

Hi Dave,

I cannot quite replicate your error at this moment and cannot check the server - however here are  few quick ‘fixes’ that may work:

(1)    Try to deploy the form and download the xml file from the project page instead of the form page

(2)    Since you seem to be able to download the xls, you could reimport it and then try to export the xml. If this does not work on humanitarian.info, you could try on the kobotoolbox server – create an account, upload the xls and download the xml  - if this works I would nevertheless recommend that you continue using humanitarian.info

(3)    Assuming you are working with KoBoToolbox 2.0, you can try to ‘leave beta’ while on the form page and download the xml from the old version (I would make sure to back-up any data and forms, but the switch should be seamless)

Hope this helps,

Patrick

Very many thanks for your help sincerely appreciated.

I've got it up and running, turned out I'd change some of my column headers and stuffed up the skip logic. When I tried to import the xls form back in as you suggested it rejected the form and the error message clearly identified the issue so thank you!

Have a great day,

Dave
