Hi jkibmmain,

Thanks for sending the error log, however, I don't see a cause for
this error in the log. Could you send a larger portion of the error
log?

Just so I understand, are you saying that the entire KeepNote
application fails to load? If so, my guess is that KeepNote is
automatically opening you notebook on startup but an error in that
notebook causes the KeepNote application to crash.

One idea to debug this issue is yo disable the automatic loading of
notebooks manually by editing the configuration file
~/.config/keepnote/keepnote.xml. You can also move it out of the way
using the command

mv ~/.config/keepnote/keepnote.xml{,.old}

On the next run of keepnote you will then be able to open the notebook
manually using "File > Open NoteBook". Perhaps doing this two step
process will give you a more informative error message that I can help
you debug.

Matt

I do have those libs otherwise my other notebooks wouldn't be able to open. I guess there might be some broken links in that nbk file.
It's painful that I have to open a new notebook, copy over all notes from the old folder page by page.

Hello
 Did you install the third party libraries required or check to make sure they are in the disk image?

To use KeepNote on Linux or MacOS X, the following third-party libraries are needed (they are all cross-platform):

This issue is linked to http://code.google.com/p/keepnote/issues/detail?id=593

I suspect its somehow connected to instances where the data directory is "moved" to another location. At least I hit this problem after opening a .nbk that I had moved to another location.
