No notification-sound on my tablet

Hello @all,

I bought myself a new tablet. It's a Medion LifeTab MD99300, Model: S9714 Table PC.
I was unhappy with the very poor mail app on the tablet, so I search for another and found K-9 Mail.
I liked the K-9 from the start. Only there's one issue. I don't get audible notification for new mail.
I use two mail accounts with imap at the moment.
Have you got any workarounds or hints for me?

K-9 Vers. 4.804 on Android 4.1.1

Thank you, but of course this is configured also vibration,  but no sound no Vibration on new mails :'(

And you have the New mail notifications box checked? What about in the Global settings? Do you have a Quiet time set up that is causing it? Your tablet vibrates and tones with other apps?

I have a German layout! Settings for the account third row 'ringtone' there's no check-box, it will lead to selection of the sound. Vibration is checked but also doesn't work, no vibration!

Ah, sorry, no quit times and sound/vibration works with other applications.

BTW: new mails will not been shown in the status line of the tablet. So I can't see new mails if the start screen is activ.
Do the developer of the APP read here or will I have to report a bug somewhere else?
