Hey guys, just wanted to say great product! I'm attempting to make a
"clone" of the native iPod app (MobileMusicPlayer.app), and am just
wondering what the best way to simulate the fixed footer at the bottom
would be.

I'm currently trying to modify the example at the bottom of the thread
here:
http://groups.google.com/group/jqtouch/browse_thread/thread/aa5bf7dbe63cd699

The problem is that the bottom footer part slides with the pages, when
it should be fixed. The header part should slide with the page, but
not the bottom in this case.

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

I post my integration of jqtouch with iScroll a few day ago. Here's a demo:

Here is my example in a webapp: http://chirpid.com
This uses an extension from http://samshull.blogspot.com/
based on work of Matteo Spinelli, http://cubiq.org/

Thomas, I cannot get your example running locally. Could you post a
zip or some instructions on how to re-create? Thanks, your example
looks really good!

Actually, I figured it out, never mind. Turns out I was just using an
ancient version of jQTouch! Now to start tweaking...

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but how come the address bar is
visible in Safari? How can I hide it?

My web app needs to reside inside Safari, and can't be installed to
the home screen, because stupid Apple made it so the <audio> element
can run in the background in native Safari, but not web apps saved to
the home screen (they stop when you press the home button)!

I don't think you can.

The best you can do is scroll to (0,0) such that the address bar is just
above the viewing area. But, it will be visible again whenever the url
change.

Wow, bummer again... Even on the iScroll demo page, the address bar
remains visible while in Safari. Guess I'm just gonna have to deal
with it, or hope that Apple allows the <audio> element to run in the
background in saved home screen WebApps eventually, since the UI looks
great in that case...
