It seems whenever I put any file name, with any file path format i can think of, into the "files" section of AutoRemote Message screen in Tasker, trying to simply attach a file to a message, I get the error "Unable to send to XXXX: Error sending files: Action didn't produce a result"

What could I be doing wrong?

Do you have a Google Drive or Dropbox device in your device list? If you do, can you delete and re-add it please? Also, did you use the browse feature in AutoRemote to select the file?

thanks very much for the support.  i finally found a forum post which documented the need for a cloud drive.  was hoping not to involve an external system.  thanks again.

You can also use direct wifi communication to transfer files, although you need to be on the same wifi network for it work reliably.

Anymore info on how to set this up with direct wifi? I get an HTTP Error 400: bad request when trying to send any file from explorer to my device.

Ok so after realizing I was stupid I got it to work through my google drive but still wondering about the direct wifi sending if possible.

Where are you trying to send the files to?

I got it working. I just added a task to start the autoremote WiFi service and autoremote devices to send/get info and enable WiFi to Eventghost when connected to my home SSID. Works perfectly and is much faster than the via web method.

On an unrelated note I sent an error report and received a reply 12 hours later stating it was fixed and would be up in a few hours for the chrome extension. Just amazing. Once again, the quality of your apps and support is astounding and greatly appreciated.

I am having problems sending a file from eventghost to autoremote, gdrive works fine but sending directly through wifi doesn't work. I can send messages ok. I tried disabling google drive and I had no luck, I enabled wifi still no luck. Thanks for any help in advance.
