Jenkins fails to get source

Jenkins has been working well for several years building many projects.
Now we are getting a build failure on a project.

It was doing - 
 workspace -delete  
 workspace -new
 workfold -map
 workspace get 

Now it does only 
 workspace get

and decides all files are up to date, so it gets nothing, and the build fails.
The configuration has not changed.
What would cause it to not delete/create?

Which plugin is it? You should give precisions about it in general. From Google, I seem to understand you use some TFS Jenkins plugin?

Did you upgrade it recently for example, or Jenkins itself?

To sum up, give more details if you hope to get a solution :).

Turns out it was the 'Use Upgrade' check box in the project.
It should have not been checked.
It builds ok now.
