I want to maintain a plugin...

Hi everyone,

I want to maintain a plugin.
It has not been changed for a while but I find it useful

What should I do to become a maintainer?

I've already forked the code and make some minor fixes:

I'd say the first best step (and I could be wrong here) is to try contacting the existing maintainer to see if they still want to maintain that plugin.

Currently I see that the source isn't under the jenkinsci org in Github which probably complicates things a bit as well but I'd start with making contact and take it from there.

Yeap, I'll try.
The plugin wasn't changed for 2 years so I doubt the maintainer will respond.

I forked the repository to https://github.com/jenkinsci/scripted-cloud-plugin

and added you and the original author as committers.

So you can already integrate your changes while we are waiting for an answer of the original author to see if it is ok to take over the ownership…

I have added Vladimir as collaborator on github for this plugin. i hope this would enable him.
