jacoco-plugin and java8

Hi all,

it seems to me the jacoco-plugin is not actively maintained anymore, but there is an important merge request to support java8 (https://github.com/jenkinsci/jacoco-plugin/pull/43) is there a chance to get that merged and make a release? The last release was more than a half year ago.
