I've developed a new builder plugin for iOS and I'd like to host it in Jenkins' plugins repository. Again, its name is iosbuilder-plugin and you could fork it from my repository: https://github.com/0xc010d/iosbuilder-plugin.

Wasn't it possible to fix/improve the Xcode plugin which is already used by many to build iOS projects (and which has a lot of difficulties to find sponsors/contributors) ?

Is your plugin doing something very different from the Xcode one ?

I just had a look at your plugin and I think they are covering the same features.

Maybe you could look at the scode plugin to see how to cleanup/merge it with yours : https://wiki.jenkins-ci.org/display/JENKINS/Xcode+Plugin

It already has 3000 installations and we really lake of brains/hands to maintain it

You may work on a 2.0 version branch if you have some important changes to do by merging yours.

Well.. yes, you have the point.

In the meanwhile, it's donna be nearly impossible to convert that plugin's config to the config which i use in a way it would be transparent to the user. Mainly, because I use a bit different principle to configure build signing (that's basically the key difference between my plugin and Xcode plugin). Besides that, I don't plan to add OS X applications support (while Xcode plugin allows to build OS X applications too). Taking all those things into account, I don't feel like it's gonna be that easy.

Anyhow, I'll contact Xcode plugin developer, will see if we could find the way to merge them.
