Hi all,

It seems that plugin stats on the Jenkins wiki haven't been updated since June (according to timestamps at http://stats.jenkins-ci.org/plugin-installation-trend/).

Is this someone needs to kick manually, if so, should it be automated? And if that's the case is any help needed with that?

Best,
Jan

Hi,

The job that is supposed to run weekly is:

But the question now is why the last run was 3rd of August, which is much more than a week?
Anyway, the last run failed on git push.

It's running every week, but the builds vanish afterwards for some reason. I pinged rtyler about it on IRC but he was busy with something else.

I have the raw stats from end of August if anyone needs them for something other than having an up to date wiki.

Can I just check: does this mean that all new plugins since August will simply show "No Information For This Plugin" on their Wiki pages (e.g. https://wiki.jenkins-ci.org/display/JENKINS/Housekeeper+Plugin).

Hi,

Are the broken infrastructure tasks anything new in here?

The people that have the means of fixing don't care because they are focused on other stuff.
And people who care don't have the means.
After a while frustration takes over and not caring spreads.

The main issue of broken infrastructure jobs is the failing authentication to Confluence.

For example plugin updates job is failing since Mar 31 2014 ... close to 6 months.

I'd like to see the stats from the end of August please, I'm after the build-monitor-plugin in particular. Thanks!

Jan

All plugins' install counts in what I hope is JSON:
https://gist.github.com/daniel-beck/8ff71a6c0eda83e22907

Keys are unix timestamps in millis of the first day of the respective month.

For example build-monitor-plugin:

"1401595200000": 2894, <- June
"1404187200000": 3242, <- July
"1406865600000": 3587 <- August

Brilliant, thanks for that Daniel!

I'm happy to help with sorting out those stats if help is needed and wanted?

Best,
Jan

Hi,
I released my plugin on Sunday und updated yesterday. So far so good.
But similar to your problem the plugins wiki page still shows "No Information For This Plugin".
See https://wiki.jenkins-ci.org/display/JENKINS/SASUnit+Plugin
As well the plugin is not referenced here
http://repo.jenkins-ci.org/releases/org/jenkins-ci/plugins/
My GitHub Repo is found here
https://github.com/jenkinsci/sasunit-plugin/blob/master/pom.xml

So, is this a infrastructure problem as supposed in the posts above or did I miss something?
Greetings
Pete

Hi,

Note that pushing to github != releasing. See:
https://wiki.jenkins-ci.org/display/JENKINS/Hosting+Plugins#HostingPlugins-Releasingtojenkinsci.org.
At least I do not see any commit from maven-release-plugin in the repo.

Also, this has nothing to do with plugin usage statistics.

Hi Kohsuke, sorry for bothering you with this stats issue again, but I wasn't sure who's taking care of this part of the Jenkins infrastructure.

Best,
Jan

Any update on the plugin status issue?

I'm interested in this situation too.

Yes, my bad, this is bubbling up in my priority list as JUC approaches...

I've added another build slave and moved the resource intensive stats computation over there. So the stat computation is back on track.
