Very nice comparison. Thanks.

The only downside of android+ioio is the price. If the android device is our daily-used phone, we won't leave it in the embedded system. But it's good when you have some old android devices.

Android price isn't such an issue when you can now buy a 7" tablet for about US$40 ex china.

We make an embedded system that controls graywater processing and irrigation. Price was our deciding factor about 12 months ago, having an embedded tablet (with full wifi / touchscreen) is cheaper for us than using something like a pi, or even netmf.
