Thanks
Hello Guys,
I want to inquire few things.
- What is the max current for the IOIO-OTG in a 5V.
- We tried using a CPU Power Supply and attach color Purple wire to IOIO-OTG VIN with rating of 5V, 3A. The samsung tab didn't charge.
Kindly note: Samsung only needs 5V, 2A power supply to charge.
- We plan to use 12V, 16A (yellow wire) to VIN. Is it ok? And can this charge the samsung tab?

Thanks

I think there are other ways than shorting the usb line too that will allow the phone to note it charging from wallwart charger like the charging chip on the phone like many max or ti gas gauges may look for the current input and then for a char or somesort of notation(from the driver perhaps) if its connected to the usb port or not if it connects to the wallwart charger.
Last time I shorted my lpc11u24s usb lines I saw magic smoke all over.
Ytai,
Okay I will make it sure I share the info. On the lines of this particular case.
Thanks & Regards,
Nishant
