You cannot update the bootloader using ioiodude. This is intentional, so that there's no way to brick the IOIO. The only way to upgrade the bootloader is using a PIC programmer (or a second IOIO acting as one). Having said that, there's probably no reason for you to upgrade your bootloader anyway
