The above links tell me that unless a whole population is studied it is impossible to differentiate the two species. Please also check http://wnmu.edu/academic/nspages/gilaflora/datura_wrightii.html. Unfortunately the paper http://www.publish.csiro.au/paper/BT9760415 is not freely available. Thank you Regards surajit
