Correct spelling is Polianthes tuberosa - The immature flowering stalk will later on bloom to a highly aromatic white flowered inflorescence of tube roses.

I think it is a different plant. Leaves were stiff like Agavaceae !

I could not find a match in Asparagaceae also.
Also does not seem to match with images at Polianthes tuberosa
