Photographs are wonderfully taken from different angels. In case zygomorphic flowers specially with bilabiate corolla, we always suggest students to draw 3 views (anterior, posterior and side/lateral facing) of the flower for detail understanding of floral parts.

 In my childhood i was introduced to this plant as Adusa in hindi.(d to be pronounced as d in daily) I was told this plant is used in cough medicines??

Sir,

Life science text books of Class-VII under our Secondary board give some account of various medicinal plants. According to those books VASAKA is used to treat cold-n-cough.
The same books also point to presence of alkaloids like vasicine.
I have seen several formulations with labels stating to contain VASAKA, JASTI-MADHU etc.
People here takes leaf-extract after boiling those leaves and with a spoonful of honey.
