User Login Failed Fatal error: Call to undefined method JUserHelper::verifyPassword()

Hello All,

I want to configure android apps for website http://mejorandomiciudad.com,  I modified ServerSTR and EncKey on Constants_API.java.
The app can load the website, show the issues & process user sign up. But I got error when login.
Below is the error mesage on android Logcat :

Fatal error: Call to undefined method JUserHelper::verifyPassword() in/homepages/46/d247633223/htdocs/mejorandomiciudad/components/com_improvemycity/models/users.php on line 45

I am sure I already put same API key value for EncKey, I also tested GET request on Postman - REST client but I got same error as I mentioned above.
I checked and compared the hashed password that sent after user signup and  user login, they both have same value.

any suggestion/idea how to fix the error above? any step I am missing to set up the app?

I think this has to do with the Joomla version. 

Which version do you have ?

I use joomla version 2.5.7 & ImproveMyCity version 2.5.9

Hi Rizki, 

you have to update to a newer version.

After 2.5.16 this bug is fixed.

The current available joomla is version 2.5.27
