I created a Sierra NBI and uploaded it to my BSDPy docker host. I can see the option to select and the computer is able to load the NetInstall.dmg file. After a few minutes, I am prompted with the macOS Utilities screen which gives me options for Restoring, Installing, Get Help, and Disk Utility. The Imagr.app never pops up and I cannot choose my workflow. Did I miss something? Is the setup on Sierra any different?

Thanks for any help you can provide!

Are you using the latest Imagr and AutoNBI to build your NetBoot image?  This was an issue with AutoNBI until a couple of months ago.

Also, make sure you’re not overriding AutoNBI’s URL in your makefile - it’s now on GitHub.

Yes, I just downloaded the latest version and crashed the tools directory into my existing imagr directory. I am not overriding the git hub URL.

To get you working, I would suggest using nbicreator. I don't make autonbi (nor do I use it at the moment), so debugging is hard at best. Hopefully Pepijn will chime in soon.

Thanks Graham! nbicreator works perfectly.

I've tried all of the suggestions here (even the latest nbi creator), that all work with older macbooks, but the new macbook pro early 2016s see the NBI, but get stuck on a spinning globe when booting into it.  Any idea what would cause that?  Thanks.

I bet it's tftp block size. What are you using as your NetBoot server?

I'm just use the macadmins docker instances... but your response led me to look elsewhere (the nic), and it indeed was the nic i was using.  Dell D59GG doesn't work, while a Dell DA200 does work.  Thanks.
