Hi

I am new to the Google IMA iOS SDK, so please excuse my noobness.

We are using v3 of the IMA SDK. When a video is shown, there can be a skip button, which reads 'You can skip to video in x' and this option is configured in the DFP console.

How do I change the text? For applications other than video players (looking at you, YouTube), that message is incorrect.

Hi Ricardo,

Currently it's not possible to change the text shown in the skip box. You can, however, change the language using the IMASettings.language property. In which case is the skip button incorrect? If it's showing a skip button and saying the ad can be skipped in X seconds, then it should be a skippable ad. If the skip button is showing in cases when the ad is not skippable then we definitely want to know.

Thanks,
Shawn Busolits

Thanks for the speedy reply!

The functionality of the skip button is correct, just the text is incorrect. The text says:
"You can skip to video in x"

However that seems to indicate that after the ad there is a video to watch (eg YouTube).

Perhaps the message is supposed to read: "You can skip this ad in x".

Ah yes that does make sense. I'll let the rest of them team know and see if there's something we can do to make this better.
