Have you downloaded the app multiple times - I notice the <space>3 at the end of the name. On my Mac the app won't start if I have a space in the name.
Can you try removing the space, e.g. by changing it to a "-". Does it work then?

What about earlier versions of the app.
For example, try one of the 2.15.x versions from here: https://data.broadinstitute.org/igv/projects/downloads/2.15/
Does that work?

Also, if you are downloading the version of the IGV Mac App that includes Java, you may need to install Apple's Rosetta software to support the version of Java we include. Alternatively, you can install the IGV Mac App that does not include a Java, and separately install a Java that runs natively on the new Macs.

I have the same problem as described by Waldyr, I am receiving the error "You can’t open the application “IGV_2.16.0 3” because it may be damaged or incomplete." I tried your suggestions but the problem was not solved. I'd appreciate it if you have any more suggestions!

Hi Xiao,
I have not been able to reproduce the problem. As I mentioned above, on my Macs (Intel and M2 chips) the app will not launch if there's the space in the name “IGV_2.16.0 3”. However it doesn't complain about it being damaged, it just doesn't launch.  My only suggestion would be to remove all downloaded versions and try downloading it again - perhaps there was an issue with the download.

Hi, Helga,
Thank you. I bypass it by using the command line version and using
terminal to start it.
