Tiff problems - cannot use saved files from Icy

Hi there!

Anybody experiencing this? Lately, the tiffs that are saved in Icy cannot be used in ms office. they just show up as very minute images, 6mm in width, and when resizing, they are just blotted. The info is completely lost. ImageJ does not even show a picture, just a green square.

But things work fine if the same tiff is opened and resaved in Photoshop. 

Could it be that tiff's are somehow corrupted?

Hi Adrian,

Could it be that the tiffs you are saving are 16bit? Only few software support those...

If you have the same problem with 8bits, then something is definitely wrong and must be investigated.

Well... image description says is 32 bit. :) where do I change the bit depth of the output tiff file? Don’t see the option

In the "sequence operation" tab, the first panel lets you convert your images from a format to another (with or without rescaling). To get the most compatible format, convert to unsigned byte (8 bits), and unsigned short if you need 16bits. Just beware not to lose any data on the way!
