Hi everyone,

I'd like to confirm the order of accuracy in my simulations. Is there an example of how to do so somewhere in the library, or does anyone have one handy?

Would prefer to use a standard, well-tested example to compare meshes with different spacings, since there is potential for bugs with aligning meshes, boundary conditions, ghost zone synchronization and the like.

Thank you,
Alex

I assume this is for a case where you don't have an analytic or manufactured solution? There is an empirical convergence tester in examples/IBFE/explicit/ex1 that will evaluate normed differences between Eulerian and Lagrangian variables, which you can use to estimate convergence rates using Richardson extrapolation. This code is not super robust --- patches to improve the generality are certainly welcome.

Thank you. This is what I was looking for. Will have a go and let you know if I come up with any improvements.
