Hello kkaminey

Did you take a look at the wiki-page:
http://wiki.panotools.org/Panorama_scripting_in_a_nutshell ? On this
page the whole panorama scripting is described in detail. I have no
idea about scripting in a Windows environment (as the .bat-file
suggests).
If you are "not good in this", I suggest you first get the hang of
hugin a bit. If your images are reasonably good, you should just be
able to "Load" them on the first (assistant) tab of hugin, press
"Align" and with "Create Panorama..." you've got your result.
Or why do you nee to do this with a batch-file? Is it more than one
panorama you want to stitch with the exact same parameters? If you
tell us more, we can help more precisely.
Cheers, Habi

It might be overkill to do that for only one project, but as I said,
all the info is on the wiki:
http://wiki.panotools.org/Panorama_scripting_in_a_nutshell
You should start with http://is.gd/LXqzbl and see what commands lead
to the desired result (theres no ONE answer for every panorama setup
you might have), then add them to a batch file for the desired result.

Did you try the other options, as stated in the wiki: "autopano-sift,
autopano-sift-c, panomatic and match-n-shift"?

To help you better:
- what system are you running on? Is it windows? Which version
- where did you download your version of hugin
- did you adapt the PATH, so your commandline/DOS-window can actually
find the autopano's, panomatic or match-n-shift? Or are you trying to
start the correct .exe in the correct directory? Are you trying in the
DOS-Window?

Habi, perhaps other people with more experience in commandline
stitching on windows can chime in?

i am in program files\hugin\bin folder, there are a lot of exes, and i
am confused which to use and which to not,
there is no autopano, panomatic or match n sift exe present there,

http://hugin.sourceforge.net/download/

1st sorry for my english

hello, I'm working on the same kkaminey and i finally do a panoramic
view throgh command line.

can tell that autopano is a control point detector tool to create
the .pto file using the images we want to join
i need only free software so i used panomatic (http://
aorlinsk2.free.fr/panomatic/) instead autopano. Download/Copy the
panomatic.exe into the bin folder of hugin (where are the other .exe
tools of hugin).

We want create a panoramic view with 3 images (Image1.png Image2.png
Image3.png )
I supose that the images for the panoramic view are in the bin folder
of hugin too.
In each command the idea is modify the .pto file
Next tip this:

>>Panomatic.exe -o NameOfNewPtoArchive.pto Image1.png Image2.png Image3.png //Creates de initial .pto file of the panoramic view

>>celeste_standalone -i NameOfNewPtoArchive.pto -o NameOfNewPtoArchive.pto // Cleaning control points
>>ptoclean -v --output NameOfNewPtoArchive.pto NameOfNewPtoArchive.pto
>>cpclean -o NameOfNewPtoArchive.pto NameOfNewPtoArchive.pto

>>autooptimiser -a -l -s -m -o NameOfNewPtoArchive.pto NameOfNewPtoArchive.pto //Optimising positions and geometry and photometric parameters

>>nona -m TIFF_m -o NameOfProject NameOfNewPtoArchive.pto //Creates the tiff images 0000,0001,0002 for the panoramic view

>>enblend -o NameOfFinalTiffImage.tif NameOfProject0000.tif NameOfProject0001.tif NameOfProject0002.tif //Join the tiff images in the panoramic tif view

Then NameOfFinalTiffImage.tif is our panoramic view

Hi Dave or Walter,

Are either of you still available to talk about using a batch file to make panoramic photos using Hugin.

To explain, I work for a scientific organization that works in the Arctic. We are looking to go up and take 360 degree panoramic images using 12 image sensors positions in three different locations (essentially stitching three 180 degree photos for a 360 photo). We are looking to establish this to be done relatively automatically, frequency yet to be determined but as high as 1 whole image every 5 minutes.

I have tried to execute the batch written by Walter and looked at the resource webpages but my batch file seem to not be creating the PTO files // as in, the batch file will seem to run up to the Nona command if I copy my manually created pto file into the same folder. If this has to be done just once in order to establish the system then that is great, but if it has to be done every time I'll need to find another way around.

Was this supposed to be the case?

Thank you.

Cris

If you still need help, could please attach your batch file so we might
see what is wrong?

Hey Terry,

Thanks for the response. Things seem to be moving along okay now, just researching now how to orthorectify my images.

I appreciate the offer though and will ask again should I hit a road block,

Cris
