Hello hpgl,

I have a Dell Studio 1535 that is locked with a BIOS password.

Service Tag: D0K8X3J-595B     Password: 87nbip6e (not working)

I have read your blog, downloaded your code and compiled it on my Mac but the password it generated for me does not work.

I have tried all that i have read on your blog and here in your group but still can't get a working password

I have attached screenshots and a couple of pictures for you to see.

PLEASE can you try and get me a working password. Maybe i am not doing something right.

my email address: bigba...@gmail.com

Thank you.

I have the same model with the same problem...I went to make a change in the BIOS and it asked for a password. I have tried the generated password and it does not work.

Can you help??

My own utility. Copyright (C) 2007-2010 hpgl, Russia
Short service tag should be right padded with '*' up to length 7 chars
HDD serial number is right 11 chars from real HDDSerNum left padded with '*'
Some BIOSes has left pad HDD serial number with spaces instead '*'
Input: #BH74MH1-595B
13.08.2013 07:34 DELL service tag: BH74MH1-595B password: x0cdb1t0

Thanks,

Brian

Hi,
make sure you follow the instructions: type master password, then press and hold down CTRL key and press ENTER key twice (CTRL-ENTER-ENTER). If you have done the Ctrl-Enter-Enter already, then try with password #2 I've included.
Didn't realized this is an old thread.

password1: x0cdb1t0
password2: 7hqfrgzi
