Unfortunately no. Several of the members of the group are also members of the local Hackerspace, TX/RX. You might check it out if you are looking for something similar to the Less Wrong environment.

This is very exciting! I haven't been on LW for a while and didn't know there was a Houston meetup group.

I plan on attending the June 14th meetup but will let y'all know if I can't make it for some reason. I'm amazed that y'all are planning it so far in advance, I have no idea what I'll be doing in a month.

I'm not sure who is spearheading this renewed attempt at making a LW group in Houston, but I'm more than willing to transfer ownership of the group to anyone who volunteers. I wish y'all luck, and I might drop in one day.

Cheap parking is available at 5650 Greenbriar (west of the stadium). You can park for free in the small streets across Rice Boulevard from the campus (to the north). This is also closer.
