NOC from Bank - Need immediate help

Hi everyone,

As per AGC we should get NOC from bank for registration. I am based out of Bangalore and have taken housing loan from HDFC.

When I visited HDFC in bangalore, they refused to give any NOC. Could anyone please help me with NOC

1) If any of you have taken loan from HDFC and got the NOC, could you please let me know the process
2) How long does it take to get the NOC
3) It will be great if you can share copy of NOC with me. I can refer that and revisit HDFC.

Further even here is bangalore Banks refused to attest photo. They just attested my signature in their format. I am visiting Delhi on 12th April. will that be suffice?

No one in AGC is picking the phone even landline.

I will be highly grateful for your help, guidance and suggestions

It's 10 min work . you will have to visit the home branch with your possession letter .

Hi,

Generally bank gives NOC after you present the " offer of possession " issued by AGC, but some banks don't even ask for it for issuing NOC. Generally NOC gets issued in few hours but again it depends on the quality of service offered by that branch.

If you have a account in any bank, get your photo and signature attested. Not necessarily the bank from where home loan is availed. Only signature attestation might not work.

My loan was not from HDFC hence attaching my NOC won't help.

Vipin,

It is 10 min work unless you have defaulted  EMI. Please visit any home loan hdfc branch along with offer for possession. And they must issue noc. Talk to customer care in case you face any issue.
The photo and signature will be verified by the bank in which you have account. Again it is a simple process.

I faced the same issue and HDFC refused to attest my photo. As per them it can only be tested from branch where I have opened my account. Infact they also refused to test and said I have to wait for 2-3 so that they can request for my submitted documents that has the photo id. It was really frustrating. Luckily I was having passbook that has photo id. Home branch attested my photo on the passbook and same was accepted by AGC.

Actually as I did not have provisional possession letter from AGC although I have made all the payment. I think I will have to collect provisional possession letter from AGC and visit HDFC loan branch in NCR as in Karnataka they don't issue NOC

For photo and sign verification, I visit HDFC Bank where I have my salary account. Even home branch refuse to attest photo and verified only signature that too in their own format,

I am planning to visit other banks like ICICI / Yes bank where I have my bank account. Let me see if they verify my photo and sign in AGC format. Getting it attested in AGC format is also a chellenge.

Hi Vipin

You can collect the offer for possession letter from AGC also. Which is also good enough for HDFC to issue NOC.

Also the signature and photo attestation should also simple issue from the bank in which you have your saving acccount

I got photo & signature verification done through ICICI bank . it was hassle free. they just deducted Rs 57 from my acc for verification purpose

Hi Mrigendra,

You seems to be lucky here. HDFC home branch or rather any branch does not have account opening form which has the photo. Now in my case, home branch has requested their central data warehouse for retrieval of account opening form. Once they received it, they will attest the photo.

Unfortunately, I don't have account with ICICI. I have another account with Yes Bank, I am planning to visit them on Monday.

For HDFC and ICICI (for my wife) both our accounts are in Pune and I got it attested without paying any amount from HDFC (from Sector 121 Noida branch) and from ICICI (Sector 119 Noida branch). Also in the format builder has asked.
