Audio setup in thetis of VAC1 and VAC2 for digital modes and voice

This might be a question that's already been answered before but I couldn't find it. 

I wonder how some people configure thetis if you want to use FT8, JS8call, rtty, etc and SSB/FM voice as well. 

I understand the concept of virtual audio cables and I use the vb-audio cable on vac1 for ft8.

But how do you use analog voice in combination with that setup ? 

I also saw applications like banana en audiorepeater. 

Would like to see an actually example of an OM with a mixed usage of analog / digital.

Thanks for the effort you put in the document !

I actually used your document for the initial setup of my hl2. I already had wsjtx working with the vb-audio cable. 

However using the virtual cables this seems to be a situation of either using them or using the normal physical in and outputs.

For now I use the virtual audio cables with the audio repeater (to get audio out to my speakers) when I want to listen to analog ssb. 

I was just wondering how people setup this up and get a mixed sound or switch from one or the other. (eg from ft8 to ssb)

Modern transceivers  like the ic-7300 have a sound card built-in and the sound is always going out via the speaker. It just has a different setting for the audio levels used by wsjtx (via the usb sound card).

I set my main audio out to use my sound card via using a cable from the HL2+ headphones out to the line input of my PC soundcard.

And for any digital mode I use vac or VB cable.

So when switching modes it's all transparent and other then clicking the mode button all follows input/output from within the software and Thetis

Correct. And by setup profiles I mean individual profiles 

So your digital modes use your correct vac or VB Audio cables.

And if not using or if you are using the  companion board.yih can set your voice audio to use another setting.

This way makes it easy to switch modes and your audio settings will follow.
