LOL, I have no idea how Google groups work either, but it seems like everyone's doing okay? Anyway, I work in Old City and live almost in the NW suburbs, so I was thinking we could pick somewhere Center City-ish so that it's semi-central and surrounded by transit. We could also meet up a little later (like 6) to give latecomers a chance to...latecome. Thoughts?

I realized I could've suggested something myself, so I just spent a few minutes looking around my desk for something I could put on a table as a sort of flag.  I've got an umbrella?  If I beat you guys there (unlikely) I'll sit with an open umbrella so you can find me (also unlikely).  Alternately, I'll be the short chubby girl with bangs and glasses.

I just found this!  I'd love to come to a meetup.  I live in West Philly, and Center City works great for me as a meetup spot.  It sounds like there have been 2 already?  I'm in the middle of finals right now, but I'll be done in a week.  (I will be having a little bit of fun/performing this weekend at a party some friends are throwing at the Arts Garage - in the unlikely event anyone on here was planning to go, let me know, and we should meet up there!) 

Can we plan another thing for a weeknight a couple of weeks from now?  Did Wednesday work well last time?  I nominate 2 weeks from today.  Aaand... I guess a happy-hour-type-thing?  I'd be up for that, or anything else, really.

Hey y'all, I'm moving to the Philly area in Juneish but read the hairpin daily. I would love to come out and meet some new people in the city! Hopefully meetups are still going strong in June. Any tips for fun/cool/must see/do/eat things in Philly? I'll be living in old city

I feel like we should do something summery next month! Are there cool outdoor things going on (are outdoor movies a thing around here? I LOVE those)? Or maybe we can just host a guerrilla picnic somewhere? Or resurrect the Ladies Who Brunch notion?

It wasn't! But that's a good idea. Last time we used umbrellas our de facto shibboleth, so I guess whoever gets there first should display an umbrella somehow (if you have one on you? I've got my Cézanne-brella with me so I'll pull that out if I'm first there).

Would any of you be willing to host a June Pinup?  This is super last minute but I'm trying to get more cities into the roundup I'm going to submit today and if one of you knows a day, time, and bar where you can arrive with a hairpin sign I'd like to add you in.  Don't worry about trying to coordinate too much with people, once it's on the hairpin more people will see it and you will for sure have people arrive.  If this is too last minute that's fine and let me know if you have anything for July.

Yeah, South Philly!  Welcome to the neighborhood!  

I'm in as long as it's not a Sunday morning (I work Sunday mornings.)  I've heard good things about the brunch at The Industry.  I know Pennsport is kind of a schlep for some folks, though.  There's also the new-ish Honey's on South, which is probably a little more central to everyone.  Anyone have other suggestions?
