Do you note have this as an option?

Hi,

Trying to send email through gmail's SMTP server but it's not working 'cause I can't set it as using TLS, I presume. After some googling I could see the older MailMeToo display showed this option, but I can't see it in Growl 2.0.1 MailMe action.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Thats odd as heck, our UI has had those settings in there since day
one of the new version of the plugin for 2.0, and while that looks
like ours otherwise, the control for TLS is not there.

So, a few possibilities that come to mind, a bad copy of the plugin in
our user plugin directory, or a bad copy of Growl. Also possible is
something weird going on with the UI that is getting logged to
console. For the first possibility check ~/Library/Containers/
com.Growl.GrowlHelperApp/Data/Library/Application Support/Growl/
Plugins and see if there is a MailMe in there. For the second, you
would have to reinstall Growl (simply drag Growl.app to the trash and
reinstall, as a warning, the app store is overzealous in detecting
existing versions, so you might need to eject any backup drives when
you go to reinstall). For the final thing, check in Console.app for
errors from Growl.app, particularly any that mention autolayout.

I installed this for the first time a few days ago from the app store, and didn't try adding any plugins besides MailMeToo (which wasn't installed because it's incompatible with 2.x) and NMA.
So the plugins dir only had a subdir for MailMeToo and NMA; I've just deleted the former.
Then I reinstalled Growl as per your instructions and the problem persists.

This is logged into the console:
4/17/13 11:29:03.015 AM Growl: CoreData: warning: no NSValueTransformer with class name 'NSKeyedUnarchiveFromDataTransformerName' was found for attribute 'configuration' on entity 'GrowlPlugin'
4/17/13 11:29:03.016 AM Growl: CoreData: warning: no NSValueTransformer with class name 'NSKeyedUnarchiveFromDataTransformerName' was found for attribute 'configuration' on entity 'GrowlAction'
4/17/13 11:29:03.018 AM Growl: CoreData: warning: no NSValueTransformer with class name 'NSKeyedUnarchiveFromDataTransformerName' was found for attribute 'configuration' on entity 'GrowlCompoundAction'
4/17/13 11:29:03.019 AM Growl: CoreData: warning: no NSValueTransformer with class name 'NSKeyedUnarchiveFromDataTransformerName' was found for attribute 'configuration' on entity 'GrowlDisplay'

I'm on Lion by the way.

Thanks,
Alejandro

Weird, although it reveals something I did wrong in the setup of the
database model, it doesn't really tell me why you wouldn't be seeing
the control (and honestly, given the documentation, Im not sure how it
worked...). I have fixed that error for the next version, 2.1, but
lets see if we can figure out whats going on with your UI. I want you
to delete the configuration for your MailMe plugin (just hit delete),
then at the bottom of the list there is an add config button, and in
the list it pops up there will be an entry for MailMe.

I've deleted the MailMe action and re-added it through the Add Config combo, and the problem persists: it shows up empty, with a "Security:" label but no fields for TLS. Nothing appeared at the console log.

So, another developer with a 10.7 box confirmed this is actually an
issue for 10.7. We are working on a fix and it will be fixed in Growl
2.1 when it ships in the nearish future. Sorry for putting you
through all those steps, that type of control behaves poorly with
autolayout on 10.7 and somehow that had slipped my mind, and it
slipped by our testers.
