Gantt chart mode for project planning

    I've been using GQueues for several years and use it to organize just about everything.  It helps me stay on top of my life.  I find that it helps me more with smaller discrete tasks that I can check off every day, but it's harder to keep track of progress towards bigger long term goals.  I've been playing with Gantt charts as a way to visualize long term projects and break them down into smaller chunks and see what needs to be accomplished/when along the way.

It would be super helpful to be able to make these charts within GQueues rather than copying my projects/tasks over to another app.  For example, if we could set a date range (instead of a single date) for a project as well as subtasks, then we could break it down into its elements down to what needs to be done day to day to make progress.  Then ideally we could visualize these projects as date ranges along with their tasks and subtasks on a Gantt chart like calendar.  

I think this functionality could take GQueues to the next level in terms of visualizing/tracking big projects as well as individual tasks/steps.  Just some food for thought!

Thanks for the feedback, Philippe.  We have Gantt charts on the list of requested features, but it has not been scheduled for the development at this point.

hello. This is the first time I've ever commented on this group and I've been knocking myself out trying to find a way to do this gantt chart thing. When i took gqueues serriously and wanted to use the software I acutally though that it did have a chart. When I found out it didn't, I was one very unhappy guy. When I read this, I fully agree and this is the only thing stopping me from continuing with the system and i'm now usig Gantter and if you could somehow work with them as they are also with Google that would be sufficient enough for now. Please do it asap. I would stay with you forever and be extremely happy. Please.

GQUEUES is my solution to work through the day ; I looked for and found a solution to work with GANTT charts in combination with GQUEUES ; try GANTTIFY ; it works very good with Google Calender and so with GQUEUES and it's free !

TIP : on GANTT charting with GQUEUES and GANTTIFY : when you start every taskname with the name of the queue, you can make a Gantt chart for that queue only !

it seems to me GQueues IS a project manager, as a project is something requiring more than one task to complete.  The reason and point for a gantt chart is to tie the tasks together in a cause and effect manner.  I.e. if A and B both are needed to get C done, if B is delayed, C slips.  Most of the problem with task management, and GQueues, is the direct cause and effect breaks down: "If I don't meet this deadline, what will be the ripple effect?"  Then it is not about just the task and whether it is late or not but what it means to everything else.
