Hi,
I just got a Huawei 50 Pro (the chipset is a Kirin 9000).
I thought that the above chipset was providing the accumulated delta range output but it does not seem to be the case

Also, it was supposed to track three Gal freq (E1, E5a, E5b) but for this model acquired in Europe, I see only E1/E5a and three freq for Beidou (B1/B1c/B2a) .
Anyone is using this model or can provide feedback or any recent model supporting
3 freq and providing the carrier phase?
I saw that the Huawei Mate 40 was mentioned. The Mate 40 should be based on the same chipset (Kirin 9000) but I could not find it online.

I would appreciate any feedback you can give me.
Thanks a lot!
Cheers,
Melania

 - where do you found the tech info that this SoC is also the GNSS receiver ?
- where do you found the tech info about " accumulated delta range output" from the gnss receiver from this device ?

on your next buying, please be more careful

Hi,
I found the specifications online (it was specified that they used the same Huawei P40 chipset).

Indeed in the following  paper  they used this smartphone for PPP.

However, checking online I found an article mentioning that due to a shortage of Kirin 9000 chipset some Huawei   Pi50Pro smartphones include a Qualcomm chipset.
Checking the IMEI this seems my case. I am going to return this phone to take a Huawei P40 Mate.
I would appreciate if anyone has any feedback on this smartphone or if you have recommendations on smartphones providing carrier phase measurements of good quality.
Thanks in advance.
Cheers,
Melania

Hi Melania, honestly I've found no data about Huawei 50 Pro checking Sean database:  GPSTest Database - Fogli Google

If you're using gnss raw measurements from Android smartphone for research (post-processing or real-time), I can suggest you some models that do provide valid carrier phase measurements (disabling duty cycle and using correctly ADR data), all the constellations (except for SBAS) and dual frequency:
- Xiaomi MI8 Pro
- Xiaomi 11T (model 21081111RG)
- OnePlus Nord2 5G (model DN2103)

I've tested all these smartphones and they're working fine. All their specs are available in Sean database. If you should need more info or tips, just let me know.

Hi Marco,
yes, indeed there is no info about the 50 Pro in the database. I had decided to go for it because the version with the Kirin 9000 seems to support three Gal frequencies and four Beidou frequencies.
But now I think that indeed it is safer to go for a phone whose details are included in the database.
Thanks a lot for your feedback on the smartphones providing carrier phase measurements.
This is very helpful.
Cheers,
Melania

just an info, it is the Mate 40 Pro screenshot, the Beidou B2b is not shown (ok, no qzss and navic but it is from germany, limited or no coverage from these gnss)
GPS (L1+L5), GLONASS (L1), BDS (B1I+B1c+B2a+B2b), GALILEO (E1+E5a+E5b), QZSS (L1+L5), NavIC
