Hi there,

Has anyone tried to make a Material Design for GWT?

I started a gwt module that has CSS and widgets to follow at least the look and feel of Material Design. Unfortunately 1) it's not finished yet, and 2) I worked on it on my employer's time so it's closed source, although I'd like to propose to either open it, or I start work on a new one on my own time that is OS... it's just that it might take some time to have something ready to use.

You could start now with this css/js library:

Checkout our under development project on http://gwt-material.appspot.com/ we are integrating the MaterializeCSS(http://materializecss.com/) to GWT.
Hope you like it :)

Nice! Do you have the current code / a starting project available as open source? I would love to use this.

Hi Grace,

I have updated the Getting Started Documentation on how to implement material design in GWT (http://www.gwt-material.appspot.com). I need more help on how to make it more easy (like using gQuery).

Best Regards,
Kevin

Awesome project !
I did a couple of examples in my gwt.create presentation to demo how gquery can help with things like material design [1] [2], I'm about to release a better css3 animation plugin for gquery which allows inject css frames, etc. Contact me for any help you need.

Looks great, thanks for posting.  It seems the project uses some deprecated libraries, (gwt-incubator) and is based on gwt 2.5.  Any plans to upgrade it?

Nice job.
this is very beautiful. But it's not really fluid. using it with phonegap give poor performance. Has someone the same problem ?

Mark,

Thanks for this. It'd be great if on GitHub you:

1. Provided link to the demo site
2. Stated the license under which the code is released.

Hi,

woooaaaaaooooo, gwt-material.appspot.com site is really great !!!
congratulations for the work
but if I created a menu with gwt-material, index.html will not be indexed by Google -> because gwt
example, if I look at the source gwt-material.appspot.com no menu contents
I know this is a known issue with gwt but you may have an idea?

Best Regards,
Philippe
