We have pushed a new release to production.

Some of the most interesting features:

  • Trendlines - Support for Linear and Exponential trendlines in most core charts.
  • Actions - Now you can add more interactivity to your tooltips. This is an open-ended feature which will allow you to add JavaScript callbacks to a menu in tooltips.
  • Automatic Gridline Selection - use our algorithm to automatically select the number of gridlines. You can use this by setting the gridlines.count option to -1. This works for both hAxis or vAxis.
  • Improvements in ChartWrapper performance.
FYI -- Incompatible Changes:

The automatic gridline selection mentioned above changes the behavior of gridlines.count. Our documentation stated that the minimum value was 2. Some folks discovered and posted that a value of 1 would get the automatic behavior. This was undocumented behavior which we have formalized, but you must now specify -1 to obtain this behavior.

Enjoy!

Awesome!  Question on the trendlines: can we format the (x,y) coordinates that appear in the tooltips?

Not yet, but we're making a couple of improvements to tooltip formatting that should hopefully address this issue.

Cheers,
Tom

Hello,

Does this include the new timeline chart (as seen in the google i/o) ? If not, do you know when this will be available. For now, I try the following:

 google.load('visualization', '1.1', {'packages':['timeline']});

But  I get :

Uncaught Error: Module: 'visualization' with package: 'timeline' not found!

Hi Michael,

Unfortunately we were unable to get timelines out right after the I/O talk for everyone to play with.

We're in the process of rolling it out, and we'll send another e-mail to this list when that happens.

Thanks,
Tom

Cool,

If you need anyone to help with testing, don't hesitate to contact me.

This is perfect for visualizing some provisioning processes at my job.

Thanks....
