Hello all,
Is there a way to create 'striplines' in a Google chart?

This is a function available in the .Net Chart control, and it essentially allows you to place 'lines' across the chart at specified locations.
Here is an example where there are 3 striplines, each one 25 units wide in the y-Axis.  They are placed at 0, 25, and 50, which essentially fills in the areas as such: green from 0 to 25, yellow 25 to 50 and red 50 to 75...

Thanks for any suggestions

In addition, striplines can be used to highlight ranges, or specific values of interest.

Hi Warren,

There is no built-in support for background strips, but there is a way you can hack it with existing features.  This question is asked periodically; here is one of the more recent instances: https://groups.google.com/forum/#!searchin/google-visualization-api/background$20colors/google-visualization-api/6pK6HyV-PVs/mvfbUG8s6KsJ

Awesome!  Thanks Daniel, I'm getting closer...
I have 3 series in this graph, and am displaying the data points.  The data points are being transferred to the bands as well:

Is there a way to omit the data points from the color band rows?

You can make the pointSize 0 for the specific series that you are using for the band rows.
