Hi, Everybody.

I need your help.

The Google OAuth consent screen will not show the app name, but the domain name instead.

This is google cloud platform developer screen. "App name" does not display.

How can I get the App name to appear on the OAuth consent screen?

Have you been able to solve your issue? I am facing the same issue as well.

Project ID cannot be changed, only your display name. You are encouraged to try editing the application name and click Save. Only a project owner or a project editor can make these changes. If this does not succeed, the likeliest root causes are:

  1) No new icon was uploaded, OR
  2) No scopes were selected

As a thorough investigation in such issues requires private information not to be published in a public thread as this one, you are encouraged to open an issue in the Public Issue Tracker and making sure you mark it as "private". If you have a support package, you may consider opening a support case with similar content.

Same issue. Google OAuth Consent Screen only shows my domain name, not my app name.

https://issuetracker.google.com/issues/new?component=187065&template=1380925 says You do not have permission to create issues in this component.

What's the next step?

Hello,

You don't need to follow a certain specific issue. Instead, you could open your own issue, in a way that better reflects the problem you are faced with. Detailed information on selecting a appropriate category, and opening an issue is to be found on the "Report issues and request features with issue trackers" page

Did anyone find a solution to this?  I am trying to get my app approved, and the API approval team messaged me stating that my OAuth screen must show my app name and not the domain.  I have no idea what to do, I am not in control of this.

Have you configured the OAuth consent screen with your application name within the Cloud Console? According to this previous thread, this allowed the consent screen to show the application name instead of the domain. This walkthrough video also shows how to properly configure the consent OAuth consent screen if you need clarification.

Yes I did configure it through the cloud console.  My app had not been approved, but now that it's been approved the app name shows. So I think it had something to do with that.
