Ashish/Jared,

I'll plead ignorance; what sign-in cookie? Where do you see this? What's the problem?

Inquiring minds want to know.

In the Google Admin Console -> Open a User -> Account Details -> There is the option to "Force reset Sign in Cookies" on a user.

Handy for security breaches, forces the users logged in sessions to log out.

Also handy if you want to force users to log out for whatever other reasons. Just found another old thread from 2015 linking to the GWC and there is no API functionality for this yet.

Thanks
Jared

I'm still testing, but it looks like forcing the passwordchange option to on and back to off forces the user to login again after 3 -4 minutes... Can anybody else check this? I'm curious about the results.

Interesting I have gotten similar results. My test using Chrome:

1. Log in Google Mail as user
2. Run script to force "changepassword on"
3. After a minute error appeared on Mailbox:
Inline images 1

4. User still able to use mailbox to read and send emails. Noticed hangouts will offline.
5. After 5 minutes, mailbox logged out
6. Ran script to turn changepassword OFF.
7. Able to log in again normally.

Potentially is a slight work around if all users are offline (out of hours), so they are not forced to change password incase someone is using their mailbox.

Thanks

Sorry to resurrect this old thread but is there a way to kill the cookie  without killing all sessions? We would like all browser sessions to be killed but not mobile device. Similar to this:

We tried this method and it didn't kick the user out of their mobile device.

In case anyone else comes across this -

We wanted to ensure that ONLY the google chrome web session would be reset, and not mobile/device sessions. This can be achieved by running:

gam user <username> show tokens
Find the token with displayText: Google Chrome and grab the clientid then run:
gam user <username> delete token clientid <clientid>
OR
gam all users delete token clientid <clientid>
