Change Classroom Owner - ERROR: 403: @UnauthorizedOwnershipAction

to GAM for Google Workspace
Hello guys,

Im trying to change a ownership of a class, but the process fail with this error message:

ERROR: 403: @UnauthorizedOwnershipAction The current user is not authorized to change ownership for this course - 403

I think that I have a correct scopes when I run gam oauth info, My GAM version is 6.0, and my user is a super admin account.

Someone can help me please?

Do: gam oauth info
Note the email address in this line: Google Workspace Admin: ad...@domain.com
Do: gam print admins
Find the line with ad...@domain.com, what is the role?

In the first command, don't have Google workspace admin line, there is G Suite admin, BTW, the response was my own e-mail and the second was:

9186090279763970,9186090279763969,_SEED_ADMIN_ROLE,107571218602050588506,myownemail,CUSTOMER,,

If yu have a "G Suite admin" line then you have an old GAm version,try updating to 6.01.

Updated!

Now the line is Google Workspace Admin. The second command response, didn't change

After, I tried to change the owner again, and failed.

Hit the same issue today and after going through a few posts on this forum, the issue was solved by deleting the invitations, using;-

gam print classroominvitations course <Course ID> 
 - to find the <Invitation ID> then
gam user <User Email Address> delete classroominvitation ids <Invitation ID>
 - to delete the invitation
