Is it possible to use GAM to recover messages that have been deleted with Delete Forever?

Hi Brandon,

There is an API for drive and deleted items (in trash, 'untrash').

However GAM does not cover this, and i don't think restoring deleted files from trash is what you are looking for. With GAM you can get quotas on drive storage etc, that's what I know GAM covers regarding Drive.

If you would like to restore deleted files from trash, you need a backup service as http://cloudfinder.com/ for an example.

Hi Brandon,

If you perform an audit export with the includedeleted parameter then everything in the user's Gmail mailbox including messages purged from Trash in the past 30 days will be exported. The mbox files that are created will not contain any of the "metadata" such as read/unread status,  stars and labels but it does allow you to retrieve the message content.
