ereporter in python 2.7, threadsafe?

Is it possible to use ereporter in a python 2.7, threadsafe application?

I can't find any docs or SO answers on how to do it.

The source code down in google_appengine/google/appengine/ext/ereporter/ appears to only have old wsgi hooks.

Alternately, is there a replacement for ereporter to go with the latest GAE?
