I'm making universal iOS app with iAd/AdMob shared banner mediation. I'm testing if live ads work on all devices. Live ads work on all devices EXCEPT iPhone 6. Nothing loads in its place, no ads at all. Last month when I tested live ads on iPhone 6 everything worked fine. Yesterday and today nothing at all yet my AdMob account shows I had 13 impressions yesterday.

Today I received the following message in debug area:

2015-08-11 11:46:36.922 Leap Up[3508:3313217] <Google> Cannot find an ad network adapter with the name(s): (

    "com.google.DummyAdapter"

). Remember to link all required ad network adapters and SDKs, and set -ObjC in the 'Other Linker Flags' setting of your build target.

I'm using GoogleMobileAdsSDKiOS-7.1.0. When -7.1.0 was new I followed all the instructions on Admob site for ads to work on it. So I already have -ObjC set in "other linker flags". I have all the network adapters and SDK. So I don't know why yesterday and today I'm getting this Google message but never before. Why am I getting the message with "com.google.DummyAdapter"? I've never received it before.

Hi IBek,
You could be getting a DummyAdapter response if there is something wrong with your mediation setup. Also, check if you have no filters set against your ad unit.

The com.google.DummyAdapter message I only received ONCE and then never again. I looked on my AdMob account and I don't see any issues with mediation setup it states I have 2 ad sources and iAd at 1.50 eCPM while AdMob at 1.00 eCPM.

The following is my code for AdMob. i'm using GoogleMobileAdsSDKiOS7.1.0.  I use the code for ALL iOS devices and ONLY iPhone 6 doesn't load live ads.

Can I test on live ads without clicking on them? I'm not trying to get false impressions i'm just trying to find out why live ads aren't loading for iPhone 6 yet they load for every other device with no issues.

   self.appdelegate.adMobView=[[self appdelegate]adMobView];

  self.appdelegate.adMobView.adUnitID=@"my-unit-id";

    self.appdelegate.adMobView.rootViewController = self;

    GADRequest *request =[GADRequest request];

   //request.testDevices = @[ @"my-iPhone-6-number" ];

    [self.appdelegate.adMobView loadRequest:request];

    [self.view addSubview:self.appdelegate.adMobView];

I don't know if it's me having filters against my ad unit id since it's only iPhone 6 that's having the AdMob issue in a universal app.

Hi iBek,
You should be able to test live ads as long as you don't click them. Also, could you share your ad unit ID via a private message? (should be a menu in the drop-down to your right).

PS: I've noticed that you've posted a similar question on another thread. I'd prefer to continue this conversation on this thread if that's OK.

Hello Folks,

have you solved this problem? I've got the same problem here with one app. It is showing the same warning in the logs every few requests.

I'm using the MobileAdsSdk-7.5.0 and mediation adapters for Facebook Audience Network and iAd.

Hi Sandro,
A DummyAdapter is returned when any of the networks in your stack could not fulfill your Ad request. It's also known as a 'no-fill' which is related to Ad serving.

Hi Elton,

the question is, is this issue just related to test ads or is this happening with real ads too? Normally there should be a fill for the banners and interstitials or at least it should not be so often that there is no fill. My fill rate is quite good I think. And it is the first time that I see this kind of warnings during development.

Kind regards,
Sandro

Hi Sandro,
As far as I know there should not be a difference between development and production when you're using the same ad unit and have not flagged the current device as a test device. AdMob's network is highly optimized and strives to ensure good fill rates. Intermittent no-fills is nothing to be concerned about.

Can you also make sure that Limit Ad Tracking is turned off in your iPhone's settings under Privacy > Advertising and try to Reset your Advertising Identifier?
