Windows 32bit, Windows 64bit and Mac 64bit. All are Qt 5.4.2.
thx for all the hard work you put into Golden Cheetah. I really aappreciate this!
Unfortunatlyafter installing the new 3.2RC1 Golden Cheetah is no longer working. I upgraded back in Feb to 3.2Dev and it worked very nice for me. After installing 3.2 RC1 my Golden Cheetah is crashing always while loaading the athlete. I already tried to clear the cache dir, but no success. The crash log ist attached
On mac osx 10.10.3 16gb ram + ssd works fine just a little bit slow when opening. Did you already put the second column (the one on the right) in this version or will it come later? If is already in I'm not able to find
@ Mark
@ MarkI have updated from 3102 to 3.2RC1x yesterday, using a Windows 8.1 (64 bit) Computer. The new version runs fine! THX!
Two comments:
1. Speed
It takes really long (up to 20 seconds) before the programm is started. This is quite normal after the installation, when the program is doing a recalculation (1500 activities). But version 3.2 is always slow when started.
Version 3102 is much faster (approx. 2-3 seconds)
2. Intervals
Each activity has now automatically calculated "best intervals". They are shown in the left side bar. Can I switch the calculation off or manually delete the intervals?
Quick one - If I want to test 3.2, do I need to be careful / backup my existing GC files? Does this use the same structure, or a different one?
I think all intervals were shifted one sample when the new intervals structure was implemented since manual workouts haven't changed, do you find something similar with imported tcx or pwx files?
Great work!
Here is what I've found so far:
- Lap swimming .fit files from a Garmin 920xt are not imported. I don't know if it is an error or it is intended.
- I miss an explanation somewhere of what values should be entered for critical velocity for the run and swim.
Not working well for me in windows:
- Upgrade failed with buckets of error messages, ending up wiping out all GC files everywhere to reset it
- Then I installed the latest as a clean install
- Import my files - its stuck on "select date" and yet all the rides had dates already
- One file had something about "cannot load more than 24 hours" or something like that
- Import 3 years worth 2011 to 2013, ok that loaded but I had to select date, no idea which workout it was referring to
- Columns in the ride list look weird, went to column chooser but double click, drag, click, whatever, does nothing
- Column chooser is system modal - no dialogs should be system model, application modal is fine, system modal is bad programming
- Column chooser sort order is case sensitive
- Resizing the ride list width still resizes the columns, unnecessary and silly IMO
- When you click "find intervals" it appears below column chooser even though it has the focus
- I couldnt find a way of removing "sport" from the ride list - takes up a lot of screen estate with the word "Ride" !!
- When I click the layout icons on the top right next to search, the whole thing white screens (not responding) had to end task it.
- When I start up it gives me a dialog "select athlete" even though there is only one athlete. Why not just open that athlete?
I kind of expected it would trash everything so not a problem, it happens pretty much every time I upgrade. I've never put any manual data in for that reason, but its a shame to lose all my ride edits (mainly trimming off zeros off the start and end of each ride)
I won't respond to this as I'm giving up with this software, but if the above helps you fix it, that might help someone else.
Was working when first install but am now getting Microsoft C++ runtime error which is cause GC to crashout. No changes or updates to the machine or software in the last two days.Any ideas please?

Unfortunate for me, the new GC 3.2 crashes on my Mac. I did install it over the previous version I had on this machine, but the computer is a brand new (2 weeks old) Macbook Pro. Maybe I need to do a clean install. Here's what happened for me:
- Installation went fine.
- At startup, it asked me to pick the athlete (only me)
- App opens and displays all the ride files I had previously in the left panel. The latest ride shows in the main panel.
- A couple seconds later, I get a spinning beachball cursor for several seconds, turns off briefly, and then continues repeating this process. I'm guessing it's going through my files adding the intervals - but you would know better. After about 1 minute the app crashes.
- Macbook Pro 15inch Mid 2015 running Yosemite 10.10.3
Crash reports from Apple and GC are attached. Looking forward to using this new version. Hope the solutions is easy. Thanks,--Kevin
Hello!I don't know if I am missing something in my settings or if calculations have changed between 3.1 and 3.2 but my PMC charts display different Skiba Stress Balance. I've attached two screenshots displaying each versions. Thanks!
Hi Mark,Crash report is attached.

Thanks Mark, looking forward to your thoughts. The TSB balance does seem to be a large enough difference that I would train differently based on each graph. In 3.1 the last couple weeks I have been doing a hard ride 3 days a week. Instead of doing an active recovery day inbetween I have fully rested to keep my number positive for Wednesday and Saturday rides. Given the charts in 3.2 I would most likely put in active recovery days.Coming up to a race Next Sunday and then I will be planning out my next phase of training, interested in your thoughts of the TSB changes.
I have gone into TP and pulled the files for you (attached). The TP site doesn't seem to pick up the same massive variance when calculating their sTSS - Jan 10, 2013 = 46, jan 22, 2013 = 60.1.. not in the hundreds.2 files attached. Is this useful..?
