I've attempted this my self and got quite far, how ever I fell down when it came to job control. If I recall there is a problem setting the process group ID for running processes, or something like that.

However I do recall someone else writing a pretty complete she'll in go called elvish, or something like that. Have a Google about, there are some examples around

I'm currently occasionally working on a hobby shell. I ended up mostly
ignoring the Go libraries for subprocesses and doing job control by
calling into libc directly.
