Hi, All--

What group will answer a question I have about "OK Google" on my new smartphone?

Thanks,

I'm not sure if there's a group for that but "OK Google" is a feature of the Google Search app. You can start with the help page here. There is also a link to the forum there (top-right).

Diane,
This link, https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!home, will take you
to all of the Google Product Forums. I would recommend the Google
Search one for your question above.

A quick check through a few groups here turned nothing up. You might try the forums at androidcentral.com. I'm sure there are other forum sites devoted to Android and its apps, but that's one I've used before.

Thank you, Marko, Skip, and Jeff.  I decided to try the Google Voice Help Forum.

The Google Voice forum is for discussions about Google Voice which is a Google Product with which users can register for a virtual phone number through Google.  Questions about how to use your Android phone are probably not relevant.

Did you check out the forums at androidcentral.com as suggested by Skip?

There are some very good forums there too.  I used to frequent those forums when I had an Android phone.

Diane,
I don't think you are going to find the answers you are looking for in that support forum.  Google Voice is a Google product that will let you get a virtual phone number that you can have forwarded to any live phone number you own.

The "OK Google" feature is really part of their Google Search product.

That's where I am at the moment, Jeff--Google Search Help Forum.  Depending upon what I learn there, androidcentral.com that you, Skip, and Ken mentioned is next.  And maybe I'll even post my question there simultaneously with Google Search Help.

Thanks again to you three and Marko.

Thanks, Jeff.  I'm also having another problem with my new smartphone that neither Samsung nor Cricket knows how to resolve.  The widget (whatever that is v. an app) that has the time and temp. does not change automatically.  Actually, I'm referring only to the temp. where I live.  I have learned how to update it manually, but that's the only way it changes.  Seems like a flaw to me.

Diane,
That isn't a Gmail question and should probably be taken off this list.  If you would like send me an e-mail and we can see if we can get it figured out.  I'm not sure I will be able to help as I do not have an Android phone, but I could give it a try.
