Can anyone tell me what steps to take if my gmail's ever hacked?

(Just want to be prepared.)

Thank you.

G'day Karina et al

It sounds like you mean, how can you recover your mail?

My suggestions are

Get a 2nd account that copies everything from your main account
automatically. I must check if this process grabs sent mail one day.

Get a simple email client at home that will do the same. Sylpheed and
Claws-mail both store messages simply on your disk. Opera even stores
mail in dated folders on disk. I took the precaution of turning POP off
and back on with the option of making everything available.

Thanks
Regards

Karina,

If your account has been hacked and your password changed and you find that you can't login, just look down below the login fields on the login page.  You should see a link that says "Can't access your account?"  Click that and follow the step-by-step procedure to identify what's wrong and hopefully recover your account.

Kenneth
