Multiple people are unable to set up their account and successfully
login with the current version. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling,
no luck. Had to uninstall. Hope this gets fixed.

After several unsuccessful login attempts, Google's ClientLogin
service requires CAPTCHA entry for user verification. I have not
implemented CAPTCHA processing. Instead, I am treating it as failed
authentication.

Workaround for this situation is to wait for some time and then try to
login again in GDocs.

Or sign in to Google services in browser and then try to login again
in GDocs.

For now this is the only way to deal with this problem, fix will be in
new version.

I'm also having this problem. I tried resetting my password several times and it's really annoying! I hope it gets fixed soon.

This software is, as far as anyone can tell, totally dead; you'll
find suggestions for other options in this mailing list.

+1 for Robin's answer. Android software not updated in 4 years is as dead as it gets.

Personally, I started using Google Drive, and that has worked for me as a replacement for what I wanted out of GDocs. Here's a link if it helps you:

For myself, I moved all my notes to Dropbox, used dropsync (BEST APP
EVER), and Jota+ for text editing.

Note, though, that the Dropsync peeps now have:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ttxapps.drivesync&hl=en

Which apparently does the same thing: you pick a dir, and that dir
is permanently 2-way synchronized with gdrive.

how did you move your notes to dropbox? I want to move my notes from gdocs as well, but I can't seem to find the gdocs folder on my phone, would you happen to know the directory where gdocs stores all it's note files?

Wasn't the whole point that it synced with google docs, so you could
get it out of the google drive web interface? If not, I don't know,
sorry, it's been years.

Hey, thanks for the quick reply! I've been having lots of trouble getting the gdocs program to sync at all, so I wanted to ditch the program and find the note files individually somehow and upload the files manually. that's why i wanted to know about the file location
