drop down menu disappears when Hover OVER the MENU over the slider

Hi

I am using Gantry's native drop down main menu OVER Lof ArtcileSlideshow Module.

Once I hover OVER the menu over the slider , it disappears .... Can you help me to correct this issue ?

I googled and found that z-index, need to be apply properly. I have used that parameter z-index : with different values. But no luck. Please help .

Not sure if this will help you , I had problem my menu was going behind slider on your images looks just fine ,anyway if you try to add this to your gantry custom css file maybe will fix your trouble:
#rt-top, #rt-header, #rt-popuplogin, .gf-menu-toggle {z-index:15}

I think someone here posted that code which fixed my trouble if not sorry :)

Thank you for the help.
However z-index : parameter had to change up to > 1000. Then only I could resolved the issue.

z-index : 1000 --> no result

z-index : 1001 --> Problem solved

Glad you fixed it, can I ask you is mobile menu selectbox working for you? I see lots of people here asking for help about that but so far no fix :( I always get tree menu even I choose selectbox for example on iPhone should come then selectbox I believe but nothing :)

I just tested the menu with the selectbox. It is working fine when I access it via a mobile device.

menu control : drop down

Responsive menu : select box

I think you have to search the right section to add that code, in my case it was:

I am new to gantry and joomla, I too have this issue of my drop down menu showing only two drops, the rest gets hidden behind my feature image show, can you please let me know where I can find custom css file or do I have to create a custom css file and if so please give me a step by step tutorial because I am new to this.

Hi Mohideen , yes you should create custom css file named gantry-custom.css and put inside of css folder /templates/gantry/css .

You can do this with simple text editor just open new file and thean inside you try to add this code:

#rt-top, #rt-header, #rt-popuplogin, .gf-menu-toggle {z-index:15}

Save file as gantry-custom.css and upload to via FTP to /templates/gantry/css

Clear gantry cache refresh your website pressing CTRL+ F5 on your keyboard if you  are on windows and check if your menu is now shoiwung in full.

If not just play with {z-index:15} change number  try I dont know 1000 or something
